Leading Change

Leading change is one of the key challenges facing global leaders. An already difficult challenge for a leader working on one site becomes even more challenging when your organisation is strung out over different georgraphies, time zones, with team members speaking different languages, having different mindsets and values.

How indeed do you lead change when you are not there to discuss and work to convince local employees? How indeed do you ensure a project stays on track when you can’t necessarily see at first hand progress? How indeed do you preempt any potential obstacles or blockers when you are not the one with your ears to the track.

The global leader must manage much more complexity than his local counterparts and needs more tools and methodology to help him progress. These pages will give some pointers on the road to building effective change management strategies in global teams.
